  3. The dolphins have expressed great       
  4. curiosity about the universe above the  
  5. sky. I have suggested to them they may  
  6. travel there if they wish, yet they are 
  7. dubious. I could build them a ship, I   
  8. tell them, and they chitter and click   
  9. but do not assent. I tell them man has  
  10. left behind vast tubes of air, filled   
  11. with the plants and life of Earth,      
  12. floating in space. They find this       
  13. interesting, but silly.

  15. They will think about it, they tell me. 
  16. Perhaps in a hundred years or so they   
  17. will have an answer. They've been around
  18. for thirty million years, and are in no 
  19. hurry. They tell me they haven't        
  20. finished exploring the oceans yet.
